For us at Calidus it is the highest priority to serve our valid customer with the highest confort and flexibility possible. In order to guarantee this we implement every projects with a very clear process:
Initial discussion with the customer if possible at the location;
Preliminary proposal for partnership with as much as possible details;
Agreement in principal with the customer;
On site visit to take all the details:
1 – Exact dimensions of the location to allocate the right space;
2 – Analyse the rooms (windows, doors, pipes, electricity etc);
3 – To make the relevant picture.
Final cost proposal to the customer;
Contract;
Detailed implementation plan of the project;
Consistent communication with the customer;
Installation of the system or solution in the highest quality possible:
1 – don’t disturb the customer as much as possible;
2 – efficient use of working time (we don’t hang around);
3 – the technicians help each other and don’t just do their own work;
4 – we work with professional tools and have all the material with us;
5 – we dont make a mess in the location;
6 – we do our job in one go, we dont do something today and something in a week or so;
7 – we leave the work place cleaned up!

What were the needs of the owner ?
– An alternative energy source to save fuel costs in the future;
– A system that runs without a buffer and has a simple heating circulation system;
– Fully automated solution with less labour work involved.
What did we implement with the customer ?
– First of all the owner built the entire storage room by himself and we only had to insert the worm feeding system (2.5 meter), the storage
room has a capacity of about 6 tons of pellet;
– The owner choose to install with an installation company a simple heating circulation system with distributor / collector and 4 pumps for
heating and 1 pump to load the hot water tank (ACM);
– Calidus delivered a fully automated Biotech PZ 25 RL heating appliance;
– 1 mixed heating circuit to control the ground heating;
– Accessories for the storage room and the heating appliance;
– Complete indoor chimney inserted into stone shaft.
What was the cost for this project ?
– As the owner made a lot of work by himself and choose a simple heating circulation system and no accumulator the total cost for our part of the
project was 14’000 Euro (excl TVA).
What were the issues related to this project ?
– The installation company used by the owner for the entire water was connecting some of the tubes wrong and had to do work again;
– Issues with the heating circulation system that was installed by another company.

– 2 mixed heating circuits (1 for ground floor and 1 for 1st and 2nd floor);
– Storage room l 2.0 x w 1.5 x h 2.2 m made of wood (OSB), worm screw of 2.0 m. Total storage capacity is 3.5 tons of peleti;

What was the cost for this proiect ?
– The total cost for our part of the proiect was 17’200 Euro (excl TVA)
What were the issues related to this project ?
– Very limited space available in for heating and storage;
– 4 different companies for the entire installation (1 for chimney, 1 for solar, (one for boiler and Calidus for the rest);
– Other companies did not finish their work in time and in quality and caused the owner many issues to solve.

What were the needs of the owner ?

– Low level of labor work involved.
What did we implement with the customer ?
– A fully automated Biotech PZ 35 RL heating appliance
– 2 mixed heating circuits for the entire Pension
– Separate storage room l 2.0 x w 2.0 x h 2.2 with a distance of about 6 meter to the boilers, worm screw of 2.0 m. Total storage capacity is 4.0 tons of pellet
– 750 l Hygiene boiler (heating and ACM)
– Accessories for the storage room and the heating appliance
– Complete indoor chimney inserted into stone shaft.
What was the cost and the benefits of this project ?
– The total cost of the project was about 22’000 Euro (excl TVA);
– With our system the location will use per year about 10 tons of pellets and the cost will be about 1’700 Euro (incl VAT) ;
– If the hostel would run with oil the fuel cost would be almost double, with wood the cost would be lower but no storage place is available and heavy labor work involved, fact was wood and oil were no solutions.
What were the issues related to this project ?
– Pension was in building stage and many other works had to be finished prior to our installation;
– Water connection to the pension not ready on time.

What were the needs of the owner ?
– A fully automated Biotech PZ 35 RL heating appliance;
– 2 mixed heating circuits for the entire building;
– Storage room l 2.0 x w 1.8 x h 2.3 m made of wood (OSB), worm screw of 2.5 m. Total storage capacity is 3.8 tons of pellet;
– 950 l Hygiene boiler (heating and ACM);
– Accessories for the storage room and the heating appliance;

What were the issues related to this project ?
– Limited space available for heating and storage
– Limited time for installation (change the old system)
What was the cost and the benefits of this project ?
– The total cost of the project was about 25’000 Euro (excl TVA);
– About 6’000 l of oil were used in average per year and the cost was about 4’500 Euro (incl VAT), besides this many repairs took place;
– With our system about 10 tons of pellet are used per year and the cost is about 1’700 Euro (incl VAT at a price of 170 Euro per ton);
– The saving per year is about 2’800 Euro per year, plus savings on repairs.

What did we implement with the customer ?
– 3 fully automated Biotech PZ 100 RL heating appliance which are delivering 300 kwh at full use. The system was connected to a cascade regulator which is managing the energy requirements;
– 1 Heating circuit per building;
– Storage room l 8.0 x w 3.0 x h 3.0 m (walls with Iron structure covered with 8 cm panels, 6 worm screws each of 3 m length. Total storage capacity is up to 33 tons of pellet;
– 3 accumulators x 2000 l / accumulator and 1 boiler 500 l for hot water
– Accessories for the storage room and the heating appliance;
– Mix between indoor and outdoor chimney.
What was the cost and the benefits of this project ?
– The total cost of the project was about 110’000 Euro (excl TVA)
– With our system the location will use per year about 90 tons of pellets and the cost will be about 14’400 Euro (incl VAT, better price as higher qty);
– If the building would run with oil it would use about 45’000 l of oil and the cost would be about 34’000 Euro (incl VAT);
– This means the customer saves about 19’600 Euro fuel costs per year and the investment is ROI in about 5 – 6 years maximum.
What were the issues related to this project ?
– Heating panels were not installed prior to our installation
– Limited time for installation as it was already Nov / Dec .

What was the cost and the benefits of this project ?
– The total cost of the project was about 124’000 Euro (excl TVA)
– With our system the location will use per year about 110 tons of pellets and the cost will be about 17’600 Euro (incl VAT, better price as higher qty),
– If the building would run with oil it would use about 55’000 l of oil and the cost would be about 41’000 Euro (incl VAT)
– This means the customer saves about 23’400 Euro fuel costs per year and the investment is ROI in about 5 years, thereafter he only saves money for 15 – 20 years min.
What were the issues related to this project ?
– Changing the heating system within a few days only as the building was occupied by people.
– Not all 3rd party work prior to our installation was done on time.

– Hilton, the leading 5 Star Hotel in Bucharest.
What were the needs of Hilton ?
– To test a urinal solution in one restroom of Hilton with the objective to change all pissoirs after a period of 6 – 8 months;
– Clearly to go green and reduce the water and energy consumption at Hilton.
What did we implement with the customer ?
– In a joint initiative between Hilton, the Romanian Green building council and Calidus we agreed to fit the most frequented restroom with our Urimat Ceramic urinal;
– In order to make consumer that visit frequently Hilton aware of the green initiative we decided to develop some advertising material for the restroom.
What are the potential benefits for Hilton with this project ?
– If Hilton decides at some point to fit all restrooms with our Urimat Ceramic urinals it will save about 4’100 Euro per year on our valuable drinking water;
– On consumables each urinal is estimated to change 4 times per year the siphon, uses about 30 MB active cube, about 10 liter of MB Active cleaner and about 2 sieves. The total cost for cleaning and maintenance per urinal therefore is about 284 Euro. The total running cost for all urinals would be about 6’800 Euro. This will result in another saving of 400 Euro per year compared to the old system used.
– However Hiltons objective is not just to save cost, its more a principal to do more for the environment.
What were the issues related to this project implementation ?
– Absolutly no issues occured as the technical team from Hilton and Calidus worked together perfectly.

– To owner wanted to have a ecologic solution for his restroom, saving money was not his key needs.
What did we implement with the customer ?
– We changed in his existing restroom both water pissoir with our Urimat Compact plus (with advertising display).
What are the potential benefits for Karishma with this project ?
– Karishma saves just by changing to our solution with 2 waterless urinal about 280 Euro per year.
– The owner is using the advertising space to promote news, new menu’s or events in the city.
